Caroline van SickleIn today’s broadcast, CFOradio interviews Caroline Van Sickle, founder of Pretty in My Pocket, a mobile and web-based solution for helping women shop for beauty products inside brick and mortar retail locations. Caroline won first place in this year’s “Startup Chicks Competition,” an Atlanta-based entrepreneur pitch competition. She was also chosen to pitch in “Startup Riot,” featured on CNN.com.

Caroline is no stranger to digital marketing and advertising. She formerly held project management consulting and sales strategist positions with Sparks Grove digital marketing firm and Time Warner’s AOL Advertising groups and other ad agencies.

Interview with Carol Fudge, Vice President of Finance, American Heart Association

American Heart Association LogoCarol Fudge, Vice President of Finance for the American Heart Association – Greater Southeast Affiliate, joins CFOradio today at 5pm Eastern, to share her perspective on the role and duties of the chief financial officer for the affiliate.

In addition to her finance responsibilities, Carol also assumes oversight for facilities and technology for the American Heart Association (http://www.americanheart.planyourlegacy.org/southeast.php).

Carol started with the American Heart Association (AHA) in 1998 as the Manager of Affiliate Financial Services where she eventually was promoted to Director. She then assumed the role of managing AHA’s Financial Reporting Department, overseeing AHA’s consolidated financial reporting. In 2009, she was promoted to Vice President-Finance for the Greater Southeast Affiliate, and tasked with streamlining the financial operations for AHA’s second largest affiliate. Prior to joining the American Heart Association, Carol worked in the wireless telecommunication industry in Dallas, Texas.

Annabelle Malins and Lorraine ChilversTune in as CFOradio host Lorraine Chilvers interviews Annabelle Malins, head of the British Consulate General in Atlanta, Georgia.

Annabelle took up her appointment as Her Majesty’s Consul General in September 2009. She leads a staff working throughout the Southeast on a wide range of issues, including support for British nationals, public diplomacy on the UK government’s policy priorities, scientific co-operation, and trans-Atlantic trade and investment.

Prior to her Atlanta post, Annabelle was the Consul for Science and Innovation at the British Consulate General in San Francisco. In addition to building UK-US bridges in all aspects of science and technology, she led broad-ranging exchanges on climate change and energy issues. She facilitated a collaboration with California on climate change and energy launched by then-Prime Minister Tony Blair and California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger at Long Beach in 2006.
